Information used by the service

Account and contact details identify approved testers and let the homeowner and selected builder communicate. Project answers, photographs, videos and documents support the scope. Builder details, invitations, questions, estimates and final-quotation documents support the tender workflow. Security and audit records protect accounts and record important actions.

Who can see project information

Homeowners see their own projects. Administrators can assist with private-beta projects. A builder sees a project only through a current invitation. Contact details and the exact address are withheld until the homeowner explicitly shares them for a visit. Other builders cannot browse the project.

Service providers used for authentication, hosting, private storage, email and optional AI may process the limited information needed to provide those services. AI preparation is separately disclosed and consented to; it is not required to use the questionnaire.

Deletion and retention

The homeowner can export the current scope and estimates and request project deletion after handover. Active project data and stored project files are then removed and builder access ends. Account records, security logs, backups and information that must be retained for legal or dispute purposes may follow separate limited retention periods. Copies already downloaded by a homeowner or builder cannot be deleted by LocalQuotes.

Do not upload unnecessary identification, bank details, medical information or information about another person. Photograph and video uploads should avoid faces, vehicle registrations, security systems and unrelated rooms where possible.

Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, people may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to use of their personal data, and to receive certain data in portable form. The final notice must identify the controller, its contact route, the legal basis for each use, actual retention periods, international-transfer safeguards and the route for making a request or complaint to the Data Protection Commission.
