LocalQuotes.ie helps homeowners turn an idea into one organised project brief that selected builders can estimate against. It gives both sides a clearer place to start before any site visit or final quotation.
What we do
You answer guided questions and can add photos, videos, drawings or specifications. We organise that information, point out missing details and prepare a clear Project Scope of Works. Nothing is shared until you review and confirm it.
Each builder receives the same project information and can ask questions, flag anything that needs checking, and return a structured initial estimate. You can then compare what’s priced, what’s excluded, the builder’s assumptions and what remains uncertain.
Unlike a simple lead form, the aim is to reduce repeated questions before builders spend time assessing the opportunity. From a small repair to an extension or a new home, every invited builder starts with the same confirmed information.
For homeowners
Help putting your ideas into words, understanding the work you’re requesting and making sense of the estimates. You don’t need all the answers: anything unknown stays visible for discussion.
For builders
A clearer starting point and a worksheet you can complete instead of starting from scratch. Ask questions, explain exclusions and identify work that needs a site check before you can price it.
How the service works
- Describe the work. Add what you know and upload any useful project files.
- Fill the gaps. Guided questions identify details that builders normally need to ask.
- Confirm the scope. Review one clear brief, with unknowns left honestly marked for checking.
- Invite builders. Only selected, approved builders receive the confirmed project information.
- Compare initial estimates. See prices, exclusions, assumptions and timing against the same scope.
What happens next?
Builders arrange site visits directly with you. Their final quotation, agreement and building work are between you and your chosen builder. An initial estimate can change after a site inspection or when more information becomes available.
Our role
We help you prepare the project information and compare initial estimates. We don’t provide construction price estimates, certify compliance or replace professional advice. The scope is not a contract, architectural design or quantity surveyor’s report. Where an architect, engineer, assigned certifier or other professional is needed, the project keeps that requirement visible.
